Reasi, April 10: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Kumar Abhishek today flagged off a multi-thematic awareness rally as part of a three-day comprehensive awareness programme aimed at sensitizing the public, particularly the youth, on key social and developmental issues, including mental health, drug de-addiction, career counselling, traffic awareness and environmental protection.
The rally commenced from the DC Office Complex, passed through the main Bus Stand and adjoining market areas, and culminated at the DC Office Complex. Students from various schools and educational institutions participated in large numbers with great enthusiasm. Carrying placards and raising slogans, they actively spread messages on the importance of a healthy lifestyle, responsible behaviour, road safety and environmental conservation among the general public.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized that such awareness programmes play a vital role in shaping a responsible and informed society. He highlighted that students act as effective change-makers, capable of influencing their families and communities through informed actions and positive behaviour.
He further urged the youth to remain focused on their studies, adopt a disciplined lifestyle, and actively contribute to nation-building. He also advised them to stay away from drugs, noting that it harms both individual health and society. The DC also called upon the participants to follow traffic rules diligently and contribute to maintaining a clean and green environment. He reiterated the administration’s commitment to organizing such outreach programmes to build awareness and promote responsible citizenship among the masses.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Kumar, Chief Education Officer Deepak Gupta, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Nitin Verma, along with other district and sectoral officers, were present on the occasion.
